I-ACT launches online link for traffic concerns

The Inter-Agency Council on Traffic (i-ACT) on Tuesday launched its digital chat box hotline introduced as a faster and more accessible way to receive complaints on traffic and transport management.

In a Facebook post, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said the creation of the “Sumbong Bulok, Sumbong Usok” (SBSU) hotline was in line with the i-ACT’s the “Tanggal Bulok, Tanggal Usok” program, which is part of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program's (PUVMP) implementation.

In a live streamed speech at the launching in Quezon City,  Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danilo Lim said the i-ACT’s SBMU hotline enables citizens to forward any concern that falls under the member-agencies’ mandate though Facebook messenger.

He added that the inter-agency has designated "case managers” and "case resolvers” to accommodate complaints, inquiries and concerns through the i-ACT Facebook account.

“Hinikayat ko ang publiko na makibahagi sa adhikain ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay-alam sa i-ACT ng mag lumlalabag sa lansangan upang kaming mga ahensyang kasapi nito ay mapagtuunan ito ng pansin at makagawa ng sapat na aksyon sa kalong madaling panahon,” Lim added.

Aside from the DOTr and the MMDA, member-agencies of the i-ACT include the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the Philippine National Police – Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO). — BAP, GMA News
