Palace declares October 26 a non-working day in Cebu province for Vidal's funeral

President Rodrigo Duterte has fulfilled his promise to the Cebuano Catholic faithful to declare October 26 a non-working day for the interment of Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal.

The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas on Monday posted a signed copy of Proclamation No. 333 declaring October 26 a special (non-working) day in Cebu province, including the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.

It was signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
