Why Heart will take a break from showbiz next year

Heart Evangelista on Monday revealed her plan to take a year off showbiz in 2018.

At the press conference of her upcoming primetime series "My Korean Jagiya," the Kapuso actress said she and husband Senator Chiz Escudero are planning to have a baby next year.

Heart said she is planning to take her break starting on January.

"I'll stop working by January, I'm gonna take an off for I think a year, until I get pregnant," she said.

She added that "My Korean Jagiya" will be her last soap for the year before she takes a rest to be able to conceive.

"My last soap and I'll try to get a little rest and then I'll try to get pregnant, on my 20th year, may baby na ako, that's the plan," Heart said.

Heart and Chiz tied the knot in February 2015 in Balesin Island.

"My Korean Jagiya," directed by Mark Reyes, will premiere on August 21 on GMA Telebabad. —JST, GMA News
