Mommy Guapa breaks down at Isabel Granada's Walk of Fame

It was a bittersweet moment for Mommy Guapa Castro-Granada, the mother of actress Isabel Granada, who recently succumbed to brain aneurysm.

Mommy Guapa burst into tears as she unveiled the star of Isabel at the Walk of Fame Philippines induction in Eastwood City on Tuesday.

Isabel was one of 19 celebrities recognized and one of five who received a star posthumously.

In an interview with GMA News Online, Mommy Guapa turned emotional, admitting she is still in denial that her daughter is gone and that she wasn't coping well with her death.

"Hindi ko pa mapaniwala talaga. Hindi ako naniniwala na wala ang anak ko," she said.

But despite her grief, Guapa said she was happy that Isabel ultimately achieved her longtime dream of getting a star at the Walk of Fame.

"Hindi ako OK. Pero siyempre super saya sa anak ko kasi alam ko nasa langit siya tinitignan niya tayo, matagal din pangarap magkaroon nitong Walk of Fame. Kaya masaya ako sa kanya," Guapa said.

"Sobrang saya kasi sa karangalan na binigay, pero sana siya ang kumuha nito hindi ako," she added. —JST, GMA News
