Epy Quizon is Zuhl, Carlo Gonzalez is Draco on 'Voltes V: Legacy'

After naming Martin del Rosario and Liezel Lopez as Prince Zardoz and Princess Zandra, "Voltes V: Legacy" has unveiled the actors for the other villains in the live action series.

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Epy Quizon will play Zuhl, the scientist who invented the Anti-Super Electromagnetic Device which nearly destroyed Voltes V.

"This is unique because it's from my childhood. Nilalaro ko 'yung Voltes V e di ba so to be part of the 'Voltes V: Legacy,' it's not just an honor. Bumalik 'yung pagkabata ko," Epy said.

He also lauded the "world-class" Filipino visual effects artists for the series' trailer, which has been praised by many online.

"Actually, when I first saw the trailer, hindi ko inisip na gawa dito kaya nagulat ako nung sinabi na 'Uy, kasama ka sa Voltes V.' Sabi ko 'Ha? Filipino 'yon?' Sabi ko wow, ang galing ng mga Filipino artists," he said.

Carlo Gonzalez, meanwhile, will portray Draco, the three-horned general sent to Earth with Zardoz and Zandra.

He is letting his beard grow to match the look of his character in the series, which he also watched growing up.

"Malaking tulong 'yung quarantine dahil talagang I don't need to go out anymore so talagang bahay lang ako. I don't have to groom it," he said.

Epy and Carlo will join Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho on the highly-anticipated adaptation of the hit Japanese anime series.

Miguel, Matt, and Raphael will play the Armstrong brothers Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon, while Ysabel and Radson will bring to life Jamie Robinson and Mark Gordon.

Directed by Mark Reyes, "Voltes V: Legacy" will soon air on GMA Network.
