BTS to perform 'Dynamite' in their first-ever VMA performance


BTS is set to perform their newly-released single "Dynamite" in their first-ever MTV Video Music Awards performance.

According to a press statement, the K-pop group is set to take the stage during the Main Show of VMA Awards happening on Monday, August 31.

BTS' much anticipated English single "Dynamite" was released on August 21 and had over four million concurrent views in less than 24 hours, according to a Variety report.

Other global superstars who will be performing at the event include Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande who will be having the world premiere televised performance of "Rain On Me."

Miley Cyrus will be performing her new single "Midnight Sky," while Black Eyed Peas will be taking the stage performing "Vida Loca," their latest single.

The Weeknd, Doja Cat, CNCO and Maluma will also be setting the stage on fire at the VMAs.

According to the statement, this year's MTV VMAs is the first major awards show to reveal nominations via voice Tweets.

Nominations of major awards including "Artist of the Year," "Video of the Year," "Song of the Year," "Best Collaboration," and "Push Best New Artist, Presented by Chime Banking" are on VMA's Twitter.
