Desiderio delivers the dagger as UP overcomes UST 74-73

Paul Desiderio hit a go-ahead triple with 1.1 seconds remaining to give the UP Fighting Maroons a 74-73 victory over the UST Growlilng Tigers on Sunday.
After Marvin Lee calmly sank two charities to break the 71-all deadlock, UP found Desiderio for a well-defended triple that went in to send the Mall of Asia Arena into complete pandemonium.
Prior to the triple, Desiderio was 1 of 10 from long range. The gunner finished the game with 17 points, with nine coming in the fourth period. Gelo Vito chipped in nine, while Juan Gomez de Liano and Noah Webb scored seven points each. All but one of the players UP fielded scored.
Marvin Lee, meanwhile, carried UST with 20 points, nine of them coming in the opening period. Steve Akomo was a revelation for 15 markers, while Jordan Sta. Ana rounded up the scorers in double figures with 11. — LA, GMA News
