Tickets selling fast in Brisbane for Pacquiao-Horn fight

Fans have been snapping up tickets for the July 2 fight of eight-division world champ Manny Pacquiao and Australian Jeff Horn at an open-air stadium in Brisbane.

According to a report on Unang Balita on Monday by Mav Gonzales, only about 1,000 tickets are left available online so organizers are planning to add standing room-only tickets.

The SunCorp Stadium, the venue of the fight, has a seating capacity of more than 50,000.

Tickets to the Pacquiao-Horn fight dubbed "Battle of Brisbane" cost 40 to 300 Australian dollars, or P1,500 to P11,500 each.

Some Australians said they believe Horn will win "because he's a Brisbane kid" but others believe Pacquiao will have the victory.

Filipinos working in Australia, meanwhile, are behind Pacquiao.

Posters of the upcoming fight have been put up along roads and parks in Brisbane.

A local newspaper also put Horn on its front page on Sunday.

Pacquiao arrived in Brisbane over the weekend and lost no time in starting his training with Team Pacquiao despite the cold weather and steeply inclined roads.

He also had shadow boxing and core exercises at his hotel room.

His coaches Freddie Roach and Justin Fortune as well as Pacquiao's siblings also visited the boxing champ. —KG, GMA News
