Pacquiao sees Mayweather victory over McGregor in ‘boring’ showdown
Filipino boxing icon and Senator Manny Pacquiao believes that American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. will prevail over mixed martial arts champion Conor McGregor in their scheduled showdown in Las Vegas, Nevada this coming Sunday (Manila time).
GMA News' "Unang Balita" reported Pacquiao as saying that the fight would be boring and full of running around the ring. But in the end, Mayweather would end up as the winner.
"Medyo boring 'yan, pero mananalo si Mayweather. Boring kasi magtatatakbo silang dalawa."
Pacquiao lost to Mayweather in a unanimous decision in May 2015, in a much-hyped bout dubbed "The Fight of the Century" that failed to meet expectations of boxing fans worldwide.
Mayweather has been crowing about his 49-win, zero-loss record and said that Sunday's fight will be worth the wait.
On the other hand, Irish MMA fighter McGregor (23 wins, 3 loses) vowed to plow down the undefeated American. —LBG, GMA News
