Pacquiao invites Mayweather to play basketball in GenSan

Boxing icon and incumbent senator Manny Pacquiao invited boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. to play basketball in General Santos City, according to a report on Unang Balita on Thursday by Mav Gonzales.

Pacquiao said he spoke to Floyd Mayweather Jr., who is in the Philippines for vacation, on the phone on Tuesday.

"Nagkausap kami sa telephone. Kamusta lang. Sabi ko, 'Welcome to the Philippines. Enjoy your vacation,'" he said.

"In-invite ko nga siya na makapaglaro sila dito sa may four days league dito sa GenSan," Pacquiao added.

Mayweather recently posted an Instagram story of him enjoying the waters of Palawan.

It was reported that it was his Filipina personal assistant who was responsible for his visit to the country.

Mayweather also visited Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand prior to arriving in the country.

In 2015, Mayweather defeated Pacquiao via unanimous decision in their mega-fight at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Two judges scored the fight 116-112, while another judged it 118-110. —KG, GMA News
