PHL’s 24 gold medals in the 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia

From a four-peat in basketball and three-peat feats in athletics, taekwondo, and judo to a historic first in ice hockey, the Philippines concluded its 2017 SEA Games quest in Malaysia on Wednesday, August 30, once again collecting the sixth biggest gold medal haul in the region — with 24.

The country also finished sixth in the 2015 edition of the 11-country biennial multi-sport event that was staged in Singapore, where the Philippines won 29 gold medals.
