The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 95 has been officially terminated due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.

"First and foremost that was considered was the safety of the athletes, students, fans, and officials," said NCAA Management Committee Chairman Peter Cayco in a statement.

Second semester sports affected include indoor volleyball, football, tennis, athletics, under-15 basketball, beach volleyball and the cheerdance competition.

The league also said the years of eligibility of athletes will be discussed at a later time.

NCAA earlier suspended the season indefinitely following the declaration of Code Red Sub-Level 1.

President Rodrigo Duterte has placed the entire Luzon under enhanced community quarantine as the alert was raised to Code Red Sub-Level 2.
