November 24, 2000... PR man Bubby Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito were abducted in broad daylight along the South Super Highway by gunmen believed to be members of the police force. Four days after, Dacer and Corbito's body were found charred to death in a creek in Indang, Cavite, while the vehicle was recovered an hour away from the scene of the crime, with all evidences wiped off.

Arrests were made in relation to the murder a year after. P/Col. Glenn Dumlao, one of the accused, named former Po/Supt. Cezar Mancao and former S/Supt. Michael Ray Aquino as the brains behind the crime. Mancao and Aquino were members of Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force or PAOCTF, headed by then Gen. Panfilo Lacson.

Sen. Lacson vehemently denies any involvement in the Dacer-Corbito murder case. Suspects Mancao and Aquino left the country after being implicated in the crime. Dumlao disappeared afterwards but later resurfaced in the US. Last November, Dumlao and Mancao were both picked up in the United States for the killing of Dacer and Corbito.

Case Unclosed recaps the events in Bubby Dacer's murder and probes into the alleged motives behind the killing. Different versions of truth from witnesses will be retold in detail as Kara David interviews key people known to Dacer.

Kara David asks Jose Almonte, then national security adviser of President Fidel Ramos, on the possible reasons why the PR guru was kidnapped and killed. Former PNP chief Robert Lastimoso, a client of Dacer, sheds light on Dacer's character as a PR man to his clients, friends and enemies.

Under the direction of indie filmmaker Charlie Bebs Gohetia, Kara David re-examines the murder of Dacer and Corbito in Case Unclosed, airing this Thursday midnight after the late night newscast Saksi.
