Grenade blast kills 2 in Jolo town in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Two people were killed and three others were wounded in a grenade blast that rocked the island province of Sulu in the Southern Philippines, a military official said Tuesday. Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) information officer 1Lt. Steffenie Cacho said the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday in the village of Walled City in Jolo, the capital of Sulu province. Cacho said the victims were inside a karaoke snack house owned by Eddie Feguracion when an unidentified man lobbed a grenade inside. The victims names were not immediately available as those injured were rushed to a hospital. The suspect fled and is still at large, Cacho said. Investigation continues to determine the motive of the attack as well as unmask the suspect, she said. - GMANews.TV
