As it marked the third anniversary of the "MV Princess of the Stars" tragedy, the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) appealed to fishermen in Romblon on Tuesday to help "preserve" remains at the site where the ship sank in 2008. The PAO made the appeal as it prepares to send another team to the tragedy site to recover more possible remains, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported on Tuesday. While authorities have so far recovered the remains of some 400 passengers who perished in the tragedy, PAO is preparing to send another team to the site in hopes of finding more remains. The PAO also asked fishermen in the area not to tamper with the remains they may find at the site. The PAO cited many cases where bodies were found without any wallet or item that can help in their identification. On June 21, 2008, the MV Princess of the Stars capsized and sank off Romblon after encountering bad weather conditions brought by Typhoon "Frank." On Monday, the relatives of some of the victims attended Mass at the PAO headquarters in Quezon City to pray for justice for the victims. - VVP, GMA News
