Blue Eaglets trip Baby Falcons; Tiger Cubs rip Junior Warriors

Three-time defending champion Ateneo tripped Adamson, 71-65, while Santo Tomas U ripped University of the East, 68-56, in the 74th UAAP juniors' basketball tournament on Tuesday at the Blue Eagle Gym. Lambert Tenorio tallied 18 points while Antonio Asistio added 12 markers for the Blue Eaglets, who dealt the Baby Falcons their first loss in four games. Kristoffer Porter also had 11 points and nine rebounds and Tomas Ramos grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Ateneo's 55-30 advantage in the battle of the boards. The Eaglets also enjoyed a 22-13 edge in assists. Angelo Pineda and Carl Soriano scored 10 each for Adamson, which also got 10 rebounds from Bryan Quipse. The Tiger Cubs, on the other hand, notched their first win while sending the Junior Warriors to their fourth straight loss. Joshua Almeda issued 13 of UST's 23 assists.
