Woman gives birth to healthy baby boy at NAIA
Airport authorities said a 31-year-old woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy while waiting for her flight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 in Pasay City on Friday. Cherlyn Antipuesta Rojo, a passenger of Philippine Airlines flight-163 bound for Ozamiz, was sitting on the gang chair when she delivered the child at around 7:45 a.m., authorities said. According to Dr. Josefina Tria, the airport’s medical officer on duty, the passenger suddenly felt back pains while waiting for her 9:25 a.m. flight at the southwing departure waiting area of the airport. An unidentified cousin who was with Rojo sought assistance from airport personnel as the baby was already coming out. Tria said both the mother and the baby boy were brought to the Pasay City General Hospital. - B.L. Vergara, VVP, GMA News
