UN sites hacked by Anonymous supporters

Not even the United Nations was spared by hackers, who leaked the login information of “thousands” of its members on the Internet.

TeaMp0isoN joined forces with Anonymous for “Operation Robin Hood” for the operation, according to an article posted on The Hacker News.

The Hacker News quoted the hackers, who posted the login details on Pastebin.com, as saying the UN “is a fraud.”

It said the first victim of Operation Robin Hood was the National Bank of Long Island.

The hacktivists behind Operation Robin Hood revealed the vulnerabilities present in the website of the First National Bank of Long Island, The Hacker News said.

“We have watched our brothers and sisters being refused their hard-earned money by the banks on top of being beaten and brutalized by officers during peaceful demonstrations. Congratulations banks, you have gotten our attention,” The Hacker News quoted Anonymous and Team Poison as saying.

Anonymous had been linked to hack attacks earlier this year on various websites that it believes are hindering freedom on the Internet. — TJD, GMA News
