Remains of Pinay found dead in Hong Kong arrive in PHL
The remains of an overseas Filipino worker found dead in Hong Kong earlier this month arrived home Saturday afternoon.
Labor officials waited at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for the arrival of the remains of Rowena Gloria Gomez, radio dzBB reported Sunday.
Gomez's body was found floating in Hong Kong earlier this month. The Philippine Consulate there quoted Gomez's mother Lucia as saying she had worked five years there.
Rowena allegedly called and texted her relatives in the Philippines last January, and seemed scared indicating she was in danger under her current employer.
But so far, the dzBB report quoted Philippine authorities as saying there is still no result from the autopsy conducted by Hong Kong authorities.
