Hackers hit UN Environment Programme website
Hackers broke into the website of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and leaked its database online, a hacker news site reported Tuesday.
The Hacker News said the "r00tw0rm" group of hackers took the 82.8-MB database from the UNEP and posted it on Pastebin.com.
It cited a tweet from the hackers claiming the UNEP's database was on Pastebin.
However, the UNEP website itself appeared to be normal as of 4 a.m. Tuesday.
"Hackers leak(ed) data on various file hosting sites such as Rapidshare. According to (the) leak, five databases and (hundreds) of tables with admin logins and users data (were leaked)," The Hacker News said. — TJD, GMA News
