To further boost the government's efforts to bring in tourists, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Department of Tourism (DOT) have jointly launched an online tourism information portal.
DFA Undersecretary for International Economic Relations Laura del Rosario and DOT Management Information System Head Leah Marie Sy launched the "Tourism Information Portal."
"The website offers relevant information about travel to and within the Philippines. It contains downloadable e-brochures for each of the country’s regions, as well as useful information on activity-based tourism and Philippine culture," the DFA said.
It added the site's best features are its links, which provide easy and hassle-free access to "reliable and up-to-date tourism-related websites."
The DFA said it will incorporate the link to the site on the websites of all Philippine Embassies and Consulates General to complement the DOT’s tourism promotion initiatives.
The website can be accessed at http://dfatip.ph/. — TJD, GMA News
