Within hours of the release of the revamped March magazine cover of FHM Philippines featuring GMA Network actress Bela Padilla, the hashtag #bellapadillafhmphmarch zoomed to the top ranks of the Twitter trending topics in the Philippines. Yielding to perceptions of the racist tone of the cover's earlier version, which was released as a tease before the March issue came out, FHM Philippines opted to put out a new cover. However, by that time, global media outfits were already hot on the trail of the mag cover and the Kapuso actress at the center of it all.
