VP Binay off to Switzerland for World Scout meeting

Philippine Vice President Jejomar Binay will leave for Switzerland on Friday evening to attend the World Scout committee meeting there.   According to a news release of the Office of the Vice President, Binay will take an Emirates Flight (EK-335) at 11:40 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.   "During the two-day meeting, he is expected to push for reviews and changes in the policies of the World Organization of the Scout Movement for fair representation, equitable fee system, the use of English instead of French as working language of the organization," the OVP said.   Binay is the national president of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee.   While in Switzerland, Binay is also scheduled to meet with the Filipino community in Thun City. - VVP, GMA News
