Marlon Abay, who was said to be "wrongfully accused: of stealing medicines worth one million Saudi riyals ($266,645.34) while working at a hospital in Saudi Arabia, arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday.   According to a report of the Visayan Daily Star on Wednesday, Abay, 48, of Bago City, was one of the 28 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) linked to the theft at the pharmacy of King Fajad Medical City Hospital, where he worked as a medical assistant.   The report said Abay and the other accused were jailed for two weeks after the medicines were discovered missing.   However, when authorities investigated the case and checked their closed-circuit television cameras, Abay and three of his colleagues were released.   Visayan Daily Star quoted Anna Marie Lucasan, provincial head for public affairs, as saying Abay will not likely be allowed to work again at the hospital.   However, Lucasan said they are glad that Abay was freed and is now back in the Philippines.   She said Abay’s mother Erlynda reported the incident to them and asked for their help through the Public Affairs Office of the provincial government.   Lucasan also said the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia provided Abay with a travel order to return to the Philippines. - VVP, GMA News
