Pinoys hooked on SimSimi chat bot

Move over, Siri. Right now, Filipino netizens are hooked on your Korean cousin Simsimi.
 
Search giant Google said its Insights for Search showed the Philippines topped searches for Simsimi, the artificial intelligence online chat robot.
 
"(T)he Philippines is leading in terms of searches for the program, followed by Thailand and United Arab Emirates," Google said.
 
As of Saturday noon (Manila time), the Philippines still topped the list, with Thailand a distant second.
 
Others in the top six list included United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia.
 
"The program has been compared with iPhone4S’s Siri feature without the voice capability. The program can also be downloaded from Google Play in Android phones," Google said of Simsimi.
 
Meanwhile, Google said other most searched items for this week include:
 
  • Luigi Yotoko, the artist behind "The Way Love Goes"
  • Binary
  • 127 hours, a US biographical survival drama
  • Michonne, a character from the comic book "The Walking Dead"
  • Mother’s Day, a popular Philippine occasion celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
