The popular “Harry Potter” novel and movie series may have ended for now, but the young wizard’s legend lives on, this time in e-books. All seven “Harry Potter” titles are now available in digital format on the Pottermore Web site shop, tech site CNET reported. Readers can buy and download the titles starting with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and ending with “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” “The first three titles in the series are $7.99, while the other four will run $9.99. Capturing the entire collection will cost you $57.54. Free samples of each book are also available so you can try before you buy,” CNET said. The books are available in the popular EPUB format, meaning they can be read with Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, Amazon’s Kindle, Barnes & Nobles’ Nook, and many other platforms. Owners of the Kindle, Nook, and Sony Reader can download the books directly through their accounts and to their devices while Android owners can also pick up the books in their Google Play accounts. For now, the seven books are currently available only in English, both for the US and U.K. CNET quoted Pottermore as saying French, Italian, German, and Spanish editions will be available soon. Earlier, printed editions of the Harry Potter books have sold some 450 million copies and translated into more than 70 languages. — LBG, GMA News
