Tennis: PHL starts strong against Pakistan in Davis Cup
The Philippines made use of its home court advantage against Pakistan as Johnny Arcilla and Treat Huey disposed of their rivals in the opening day of their second round tie in the 2012 Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group II playoffs. Veteran Arcilla started the day with a 6-2 6-2 6-3 victory against Ageel Khan while win number two came via Huey's 6-1 6-0 6-3 demolition of Yasir Khan. The lone doubles match of the series will be on Saturday, as Francis Casey Alcantara and Ruben Gonzales take on Ageel Khan and Jalil Khan. On Sunday, the singles players switch opponents as Huey takes on Ageel Khan while Arcilla faces Yasir Khan. The three-day meet is being held at the Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) indoor clay-shell courts in Manila.
