Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. on Thursday unveiled its sixth-generation Camry sedan in Pasay City.   TMPC president Michinobu Sugata said the company intends to sell 100 units per month of the Camry.   "We are confident with Camry since a lot of customers have been waiting for this vehicle and most of those who expressed their interest to own this are company executives," said Sugata.   The model has two variations, the 2.5-liter that is made in Thailand and the 3.5-liter made in Japan, according to the TCMP executive.   The sedan is priced between P1.45 million and P2.1 million.   The new Camry was developed with cutting edge design to stand out in the Philippine car scene, Sugata said, noting its name comes from the Japanese word “Crown.”   The 2012 model passed the highest global quality standards in terms of active and passive safety features for different driving situations, said Sugata.   Toyota first introduced the Camry in 1982. Over 14 million units have since been sold worldwide.   The sedan was unveiled in the Philippine market in 1996. Since then, about 12,000 Camrys have been sold. —VS, GMA News
