Team ICTSI-Philippines pooled in a final round 150 to finish fourth in the Asia-Pacific Golf Team Championships, or the Queen Sirikit Cup, topped by South Korea at the Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore. Lovelyn Guioguio matched par with a 74 while Dottie Ardina, despite an injury on her right foot after slipping at the Tanah Merah clubhouse, made a two-over-par 76 for that 150 and a 444 total, counting their two 147 in the first two rounds. South Korea (413) collared its sixth straight crown followed by New Zealand (143-438) and Australia (148-440). The Filipinas, though, emerged as the best team from Southeast Asia, after they went one shot ahead off Malaysia (144-445). "The girls fought until the end. I told Dottie to stop if the foot really hurts but she relented and still played. That's how serious she was here. I wasn't surprised because I know she's a fighter,” said national coach Bong Lopez. Ardina, however, lost her individual crown, ending up at ninth with a 223. Agojo (225) was at 13th place while Guioguio (231) finished 21st. Korean Hyo disloged Ardina with a 12-under 204 overall, beating Malaysian top seed Lydia Ko (210). — Adrian Flores/JVP, GMA News
