Philex ships P2B worth of metals to Swiss buyer

Philex Mining Corp. on Friday said it shipped $1.113 billion worth of metals to its Swiss buyer last April. Two shipments of gold, copper and silver were made to Louis Dreyfus Commodities Metals Suisse SA, Philex said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange. The shipments consisted of 16, 614 ounces of gold, 5, 375,503 pounds of copper and 16,692 ounces of silver from 10,013 dry metric tons of concentrates. The value of metals exported to Louis Dreyfus was “based on the average provisional metals prices of $1659 per ounce of gold, $3.75 per pound of copper, and $31.98 per ounces of silver,” the company said. —VS, GMA News
