Social networking giant Facebook has made video even more social by introducing a new feature - trending videos - into users' news feeds, according to a tech site. The new feature is similar to the recently introduced "trending articles" that highlights news articles that are popular among a user's friends, The Next Web said.   "Last month, Facebook introduced a feature called 'trending articles' that stuck a slideshow into your news feed of popular news articles via your friends that you might have missed. It looks like videos are now getting the same treatment, as some users have just noticed 'trending videos' in their news feed as well," it said Saturday.   It said the trending is based on what a user's friends are watching, using apps connected to Facebook’s Open Graph.   Such a feature appears to be Facebook's way of re-surfacing content a user might have missed due to the real-time nature of the news feed, it added.   But The Next Web also noted some people had been annoyed with the trending articles, "so it’ll be interesting to see how well this does."   Yet, it said it may be good for apps like Viddy and Socialcam, since its content will be shown more than ever before. — ELR, GMA News
