The 27 buses plying the EDSA-Ayala Avenue to Bonifacio Global City (BGC) route will double in the next three to four years, the BGC head of commercial operations told reporters on Thursday.   “We intend to double the number of BGC buses to respond to the growing number of business process outsourcing (employees) and visitors,” Manny Blas II said in a press conference at the Mind Museum in Global City.   Around P200 million will be spent for the maintenance of existing buses and purchase of additional ones, the BGC official told GMA News Online.   Increasing the number of buses would ensure that nine of 10 commuters around BGC would wait for less than 10 minutes for a bus ride, from the current eight of 10, Blas added.   BGC has bought three new buses this year, the BGC operations head said.   These Mercedez-Benz buses are powered by eco-friendly engines and can carry up to 90 passengers, according to the BGC website. Its terminal is located at the corner of EDSA and Ayala. —VS, GMA News
