‘Tunay na Buhay’ changes timeslot to Saturday
Starting July 14, ‘Tunay na Buhay’, a program that features personality-based stories, will now air every Saturday at 11:30pm on GMA 7, instead of Friday nights.
Making the big switch from the weeknight block of GMA News and Public affairs programs, more viewers can now catch Tunay na Buhay in its earlier, weekend timeslot.
Tunay na Buhay is hosted by long-time anchor Rhea Santos. It tells different stories of Filipinos from all walks of life. The program’s strength lies in the uniqueness of every story – from the entertaining, to the shocking, to the awe-inspiring, even the intriguing and disappointing. All are ultimately meant to show the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
In its nearly 2 years on air, Tunay na Buhay has featured many beautiful stories and garnered some exclusive, hard-to-get interviews. One of them was the controversial ‘Adan-Eba-Adan’, the story of a gay hairstylist who is married and has three kids who decides to take on a more masculine look to get better work opportunities. ‘Bihag’ told the story of a young man who has spent a lifetime being abused by his own mother and imprisoned in his own home. ‘A-B-C ng Mag-Ina’ told the inspiring tale of a 26 year-old mother and her daughter who are both studying in the same class in the first grade. And who could ever forget the love story of Mang Adriano and Aling Lourdes who withstood all challenges to keep their love alive despite Aling Lourdes' 'Corea' disease, a rare disease that causes the muscles to move involuntarily.
Catch Tunay na Buhay in its new timeslot every Saturday, 11:30pm, after Imbestigador.
