July 31, 2012 8:13pm
Filipino skeet shooter Paul Brian Rosario finished with a total score of 110, Tuesday night, to end the Philippines' hopes of bringing home a medal from shooting at the London Olympic games.

Only the top six shooters from a pool of 36 moved on to the final round, with top-ranked Vincent Hancock of the United States at head of the pack, garnering a score of 123, a new Olympic record. The bottom two of the final six, Luigi Lodde of Italy and Jan Sychra of the Czech Republic, both got 120 after five rounds.

Rosario started his campaign with a score of 22 in the first round, but the 30-year-old struggled in the second round for a score of 19. He recovered in the third round with a score of 25, but finished the last two rounds with a pair of 22's.

The score of 110 tied Rosario with Cuba's Guillermo Alfredo Torres. Four other shooters finished with 109s, while Egypt's Azmy Mehelba finished last with a 108. - AMD, GMA News
