Mars next stop for 'Angry Birds', PC Magazine reports
Mars may soon be the next stop for the popular game franchise "Angry Birds," as a tech site reported Rovio is taking them on a mission to the Red Planet.
Rovio made the announcement days before the scheduled Mars "Curiosity" Rover landing, according to a report on PC Magazine Saturday.
"Finnish game maker Rovio announced it is gearing up to release a 'Red Planet update' for Angry Birds Space this fall. To hype up the update, Rovio released a short teaser video created in collaboration with NASA," PC Mag said.
PC Mag noted Angry Birds Space was first released in March and topped 50 million downloads in just 35 days.

For the upcoming update, PC Mag said a 30-second video begins with a notice about the upcoming landing of the Curiosity Rover on Mars.
The video asks the question "what will it find?" then switches to footage of Mars, where a bird's shadow appears over what looks like a patch of ice.
Only last week, Rovio released an update for "Angry Birds Space" by adding 20 more levels to the game.
It also sent the game characters on a beach vacation with the launch of 15 new tropical level for the original Angry Birds. — ELR, GMA News
