Launch-forum of the Right to Food toolkit on October 23

In celebration of the World Food Day, Economic, Social and Cultural Rights-Asia (ESCR-Asia), in cooperation with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO)-Rome (through its Right to Food Unit), will be holding a launch-forum on the right to food toolkit “ The Justice of Eating: Understanding the Right to Food Guidelines in the Context of National Food Security” on Oct. 23, (Tuesday), 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Assembly Hall, National College of Public Administration (NCPAG), University of the Philippines, Raul de Guzman St., U.P. Diliman, Quezon City.

 

Produced by ESCR-Asia, this toolkit contains a 250-paged policy resource book highlighting at least 20 brief case studies in the implementation of the 19 Right to Food Guidelines, an interactive CD and a 25-minute video documentary. The interactive CD can be used with a Flash program while the video documentary allows the user-learner to listen to some stories and view some images of food realities in select parts of the country.
