Pakistani student faces UAE court for allegedly molesting Pinay

An 18-year-old Pakistani student was charged before a United Arab Emirates court Wednesday for the alleged sexual harassment of a 41-year-old Filipina.

 

Prosecutors accused the student of running intentionally into the Filipina and touching her thigh last November, according to a report posted Thursday on news site Khaleej Times.

 

The student was also accused of snatching the Filipina's mobile phone worth over Dh2,500, the same report said.

 

According to the Filipina, the incident occurred at about 11 p.m. sometime last November, on a street in Al Qusais.

 

The report said the victim had just finished her routine exercises in a nearby square and was walking home when she saw the student staring at her.

 

The report added that when the victim walked away from the suspect, he approached her and groped her thigh. She pushed him away and asked him to move away but he instead moved closer.

 

The Filipina reached for her mobile phone to call the police, but the student snatched it from her and ran away. — RSJ, GMA News
