iPhone 5s already on the assembly line?

Is the iPhone 5S, the successor to Apple's latest iPhone, now on the assembly line?

Photos posted on a Chinese tech site indicate the iPhone 5S may have already gone into production, tech site Mashable reported Tuesday.

"Nearly identical to the iPhone 5, the handset shown in the photos has an updated vibration motor (some have complained the iPhone 5's is too noisy). Beyond that minor difference, however, it looks identical to the model currently on the market," Mashable reported.

Also, it said the Chinese site suggested the iPhone 6, the next-generation smartphone, was on the way.

The iPhone 6 was supposed to have a larger display at five inches, compared to the iPhone 5's 4.8 inches.

It was the latest rumored iPhone in past weeks, Mashable noted.

Only last weekend, there were rumors of Apple working on a smart watch using curved glass.

"(T)he watch can potentially let users to make calls, answer texts and run apps from their wrists," Mashable said. — TJD, GMA News
