Cayetano, a former UAAP champion volleyball player for the UP Lady Spikers, took to Twitter to tease her full statement on the reported new rule, saying, "For now I'll say, as a former UAAP athlete (UP Vball, UAAP Champ) and a mom of athletes, I think their 2yr residency rule sucks!

Earlier in the day, Cayetano had responded to a Tweet asking her to "do something about this new uaap rule," to which she replied, "I'm studying it now."
According to reports, under the modified rule, a college freshman from a UAAP high school would be unable to transfer to a different UAAP university and compete in the league's athletic events without serving a two-year residency period, up from one year.
