At least 145 devotees suffered injuries while taking part in the procession of the Black Nazarene in Manila's Quiapo district on Good Friday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Saturday. On its 7:00 a.m. report, the NDRRMC said at least 15,000 devotees took part in Friday's procession. One was treated for "serious case of injury" while two were hospitalized but the NDRRMC did not identify them. Four children who were initially reported lost were found later. Devotees of the Black Nazarene are also known to converge in Quiapo on the second Sunday of January to mark their patron's feast.
