Diplomatic car allegedly rams MMDA chief's vehicle

A vehicle with diplomatic license plates allegedly rear-ended Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino's car along the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard Friday night. "Binangga nang husto ako, binangga ng sasakyan na (may) diplomatic plate. Hindi ko sasabihin anong bansa ito," he said in an interview on dzBB radio. After the alleged ramming the driver of the diplomatic vehicle sped off. Tolentino then contacted MMDA traffic enforcers to be on the lookout for the motorist. The diplomatic vehicle was eventually cornered near the Light Rail Transit and Metro Rail Transit station in Pasay City, Tolentino said. "Walang lisensya, walang kahit anong ID. Opisyal ito ng isang embahada, tinakbuhan kami," he said. "Sabi niya mabagal kami magpatakbo," he added. Tolentino said he will write to the speedster's ambassador on Monday to complain about the incident. — DVM, GMA News
