It's women power at Women's Health's 'Are You Game?'

It was a day of wellness, beauty, fitness and fun rolled into one as hundreds of women trooped to the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall for a taste of flat-belly workouts, beginner yoga, zumba, skin and weight-loss consultations, massage, and body jam.

A total of 761 participants turned out at the venue and lined up for their activity of choice. True to its goal of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among women, Women’s Health had its second run of Are You Game?, an all-day, feel-good festival that encapsulates all the things the magazine stands for – fitness, wellness, nutrition, beauty, style and fun.

“Good health and fitness go hand-in-hand. Women’s Health is here to show women that fitness, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle can be achieved despite busy schedules,” said editor-in-chief Lara Parpan.
 
Women’s Health readers experienced the magazine through workouts and activities they’ve been curious about, but never had the time or guts to try out. Holding on to their Are You Game? passports, participants chose from various health & fitness offerings held at the venue’s three zones: the Sporty Zone, the Sexy Zone, and the Cool Zone. Those out for a thrill signed up for classes like SMRT-Core Circuit, Zumba Toning, and Fit Into Your Jeans, while other people enjoyed a relaxing massage, nail treatment and skin pampering.

GMA TV personalities Ryza Cenon, Diva Montelaba, and Arny Ross Roque joined other Are you Game? participants in the workout classes and found the exercises exhilarating. “It’s a great feeling after doing the exercises,” Ryza quips.

Are You Game? host Hilary Isaac engaged the crowd through activities on-stage, such as the Century Tuna Superbod of the Day, the Kojie San Twister Game, the Carbtrim Block the Velcro Ball Game, and the Planet Sports Sportswear Fashion Show. She also interviewed reality TV alumna and product endorser Jef Gaitan at the Nisce booth, which provided diamond peel sessions at the event.

Women’s Health Are You Game? is in partnership with Century tuna, Planet Sports and Kojie San, along with Nisce, SM Mall of Asia, Female Network, Wave 89.1 and Magic 89.9.
