Enrile ex-aide Gigi Reyes out of the country amid pork scam

Senator Juan Ponce Enrile's former chief of staff Jessica Lucila "Gigi" Reyes, who has been accused by whistleblowers of being a conduit for pork barrel corruption, left the country in August, the Bureau of Immigration confirmed on Thursday.

"The only statement that we could give is that Ms. Gigi Reyes is out of the country as of the moment," Immigration spokesperson Maan Pedro told GMA News Online.

Pedro refused to give any more details, but she noted that Reyes left the country in the last week of August.

Reyes was mentioned in affidavits submitted to the National Bureau of Investigation as being a conduit for channeling funds from Enrile to Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged mastermind in the pork barrel scam. — BM, GMA News
