The Philippine contingent was one of five undefeated teams after the end of day one of the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The four-man team of Arvin Tolentino (San Beda High), Thirdy Ravena (Ateneo High), Prince Rivero (LSGH) and Kobe Paras (LSGH) bested Chinese Taipei 13-5, Guatemala 18-9, and Andorra 15-11 on Thursday.
Things toughen up though on Friday when the current FIBA Asia 3x3 U18 titlists face 2-1 China and 1-2 Bulgaria, before the squad wraps up their group round against 2-1 Czech Republic and the other undefeated side in Pool B, the United States.
Other teams without a loss include Argentina (Pool C), and Germany and Poland, both from Pool D. - AMD, GMA News
