GMA Kapuso Foundation calls for donations, volunteers for Typhoon Yolanda relief ops

If you are looking for more ways to help victims of Typhoon Yolanda, the GMA Kapuso Telethon is in need of more manpower.

Relief good donations may be dropped off at the following addresses:

• GMA Kapuso Foundation. 2nd Floor Kapuso Center, GMA Network Drive corner Samar Streets, Diliman, Quezon City. Call 928-4299/928-9351.
• GMA Kapuso Foundation Warehouse. 366 GMA Compound Tandang Sora Avenue Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City. Call 931-7013.

You can also help repackage relief goods at the warehouse. The survivors are in sore need of the following:

• Canned goods (can be opened without can opener)
• Bottled water
• Clothes
• New underwear
• Shoes (sturdy, can withstand mud)
• Towels
• Medicine
• Blanket
• Banig
• Bath and laundry soap
• Toothbrush and toothpaste

Monetary donations can be deposited at any Metrobank, UCPB, PNB and Cebuana Lhuillier branch. They can also be donated online. Please note that no service fee will be charged, although donations are still tax deductable.

GMA News Online/Media Merge also needs volunteers for transcribing the video messages of the survivors and adding their names to databases. Call 982-7777 loc. 1308 for scheduling.

It would be of immense help if one can speak or understand enough Waray for transcribing.
