Ravena, UAAP, NCAA stars spearhead 'Fastbreak 2' charity game for Yolanda aid

(Updated 5:56 PM) UAAP, NCAA stars and entertainment personalities will hold a charity event and basketball game titled "Fastbreak 2: A charity game for Yolanda victims" to do their share of fundraising for those devastated by the recent calamity.
 
The event, organized by Ateneo Blue Eagle Kiefer Ravena and GMA News reporter Mav Gonzales, will be held from 12:30pm to 5:00pm on November 30, Saturday, at the Blue Eagle Gym, Ateneo De Manila University.
 
The event will feature an exhibition game bannered by UAAP, NCAA and Gilas cadet players, including Ray Ray Parks, Baser Amer, Matt Ganuelas, Kevin Alas, Thirdy Ravena, Chris Newsome, Garvo Lanete, and the older Ravena himself. In addition, celebrities and entertainers like Xian Lim, Dingdong Dantes, Young JV, Billy Crawford and Gerald Anderson are slated to participate as well.

Ravena posted the details of the final lineup on his Instagram account.
 
 
The event will also have a mass with Fr. Tito Caluag and performances by bands and recording artists Hansom and Midnight Meetings
 
Volleyball fans will also have something to look forward to as UAAP women's volleyball standouts, including Alyssa Valdez, Michelle Gumabao, Fille Cainglet, Jen Reyes and Melissa Gohing will figure in the halftime games.
 
In January 2012, Ravena and Gonzales also organized the first edition of "Fastbreak" for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Sendong victims. This time around, proceeds will go to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas, while a portion of it will be used to fix classrooms in Ravena's province in Iloilo.
