Ready for the selfie hat?

After the selfie camera and the selfie monopod, are selfie addicts ready for this newest accessory?

Meet the selfie hat, a glittery sombrero equipped with a tablet that can take a shot of the wearer from various angles.

The hat is a collaboration between computer maker Acer and fashion designer Christian Cowan-Sanluis, Acer UK said on its Facebook page.

"The sombrero style hat spins 360-degrees and has an integrated Acer Iconia A1-840 tablet which enables struggling selfie takers to find their best angle," it said.

Photos on Acer UK's Facebook page showed a model wearing the pink sombrero – in matching pink.

A separate report on PC World said Acer aims to help the selfie addict "understand lighting, how various expressions can change your face and ultimately create the perfect social media moment."

Selfie-taking remains a popular activity in the social media age, with people using smartphones or tablets to take photos of themselves and post these images on social media. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
