After attending the 21st annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles, California looking markedly different, Renee Zellweger has stirred a buzz among netizens wondering what happened to the "Bridget Jones's Diary" star.

In a post on her Instagram account, dermatologist to the stars Vicki Belo offered an analysis of the work done by the Hollywood actress.

Belo noted that Zellweger seemed to have "done too much botox in her forehead" resulting in the dropping of her eyebrows.

The doctor added that the actress may have also undergone upper eyelid blepharoplasty and had dermal fillers on her cheekbones.

Everyone is shocked at how different #reneezellweger looks . Here s #drbelo s take on it. She s done too much #botox in her forehead and it dropped her eyebrows . Her eyes look so different she must have done an #upperlid #blepharoplasty.. She also had #dermal #fillers without rebuilding cheek bone from bone loss on the left side . I would have done #ultherapy to tighten and firm up her face first . I would have then put #radiesse to rebuild her #cheekbone before putting #voluma so it would be in the right place. Only tiny amount of #botox in her forehead to avoid the shiny artificial look . Since her eyes were her best feature I would never have done a blepharopladty but instead would have tightened it a bit with ultherapy and #fractionalCO2

Belo also gave her own recommendations. She said that she would have done utherapy and put radiesse on the actress' cheekbones and only a little bit of botox on her forehead for a better look.

But amid the online buzz, Renee has responded to the issue on a very positive note.

"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," the 45-year-old actress told People Magazine.

She added that she is now more peaceful and healthy after abandoning a toxic schedule that did not allow her to take care of herself and have depleted and exhausted her for a long time. — Bianca Rose Dabu/JST, GMA News
