Local literature fans and komik lovers descended on the first Philippine Literary Festival from Oct. 23 to 25.
Apart from handfuls of talks on the writing, teaching, and production of literature, there was also an exhibit consisting of prints from the works of today's hottest indie komik artists and writers—well, maybe indie no more, considering how Visprint has turned many of the webcomics and previously-booklet-only works into glossy book form.
From mythological noir to pre-colonial history to one-shots, the exhibit proved that the local komiks scene is more vibrant than ever—and just getting started. — LBG, GMA News
