Retired heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis is one of the countless people waiting for Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather to happen.
An avid follower of the sweet science, Lewis is pleading for everyone involved in the talks to finally make the long awaited showdown to happen this year.
"There's a few fights I want to see in 2015 but Mayweather-Pacquiao is still at top of my list," Lewis told Boxingscene.com. "Stop the madness and make it happen."
In 2002, rival American television networks HBO and Showtime set their differences aside and collaborated to bring together Lewis' megafight against Mike Tyson. Knowing firsthand how networks can come together to give the fans what they want, Lewis is optimistic that it can be done once more for Pacquiao and Mayweather.
"If we could make Lewis-Tyson happen with HBO and Showtime, they can get it together for Mayweather-Pacquiao and make history again," said Lewis. — JST, GMA News
